These terms govern your use of onlineguardcards.com and the training we provide. Online Guard Cards is operated by Whitestar Group, a private California training provider (CA PPO 120101 · CA PI 24105). By purchasing a course or creating an account you agree to these terms.
BSIS security guard registration has state-set eligibility requirements (age 18+, background check via Live Scan, and others). Purchasing a course does not guarantee that BSIS will issue you a registration — eligibility is determined by the State of California, not by us.
When you purchase a course, you get personal, non-transferable access for the named student. Sharing accounts, completing training on someone else's behalf, or having someone complete training on yours is fraud under California law and grounds for immediate termination without refund — and we are required to cooperate with BSIS investigations.
Certificates are issued only after the named student passes the required assessment (80% or higher). Each certificate carries a unique serial number verifiable at /verify/. Falsifying training records is a crime; we design the platform to make honest completion the only path to a certificate.
Under California SB 652 (BPC §7583.6, effective January 1, 2026), 4 of the 8 pre-assignment Powers-to-Arrest hours must be completed in person. Courses that include this requirement are clearly marked as hybrid: the online portion is completed on this platform and the in-person portion is scheduled with Whitestar after enrollment. The pre-assignment requirement is not complete until both portions are done.
Prices are shown at checkout and charged once, in U.S. dollars, via Stripe. See the Refund Policy for cancellation terms.
Don't attempt to break, scrape, or circumvent the platform, its assessments, or its certificate system. Don't misrepresent your identity. Course content is copyrighted by Whitestar Group and licensed to enrolled students for personal use only.
We are a private training provider — not BSIS or the State of California. Regulatory requirements can change; where our plain-English explanations differ from current BSIS rules, BSIS rules control. The platform is provided "as is"; to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the course at issue.
If we update these terms, the new version takes effect when posted here with a new effective date. Material changes affecting active enrollments will be emailed to enrolled students.
